Donna, Scheduling Coordinator and Air Traffic Controller
Warm and friendly, Donna enjoys welcoming patients as they arrive. She checks them in and always has a few minutes to talk about their day. At the end of their visits, as she’s checking them out, she asks how things went and how they’re feeling. Donna also helps patients schedule appointments and accepts payments.
Donna’s been married for almost 40 years. She’s raised three daughters, a nephew, and a granddaughter. She also has four furry children: two dogs and two cats.
Leah, Insurance and Hygiene Coordinator
Leah loves helping people achieve their goal of improved dental health and wonderful smiles. She works in our front office: answering phones and scheduling appointments. She talks with patients and answers their questions about their treatment. Leah also helps patients with their insurance questions.
Leah’s been married for more than 30 years. The couple has a niece, three nephews, and a grandniece and grandnephew. They also have two cats. Leah enjoys watching her husband play in his many bands, as well as doing photography and spending time with loved ones.
Lynn, Administrator and Factotum
Lynn enjoys spending her days helping our patients and our team. She’s an exceptional problem solver and keeps our office running smoothly. She sees to the daily office details and, when needed, assists with insurance issues and front-office duties. Because she’s a registered dental assistant, she sometimes assists chairside. Lynn also organizes study club meetings.
Lynn’s been happily married since 1975. She has one child and is hoping for a grandchild someday. She enjoys her inner nerd: attending ComicCon, sewing costumes, and taking the family Jeep four-wheeling.
Shelly, Implant Coordinator
Shelly enjoys getting to know our patients and ensuring they receive the best care for their needs. She loves seeing the difference in a patient who regains his or her oral health and confident smile. Shelly is a coordinator between the patient, our office, and the patient’s general dentist. She offers patient education, explains treatment, and handles follow-up.
Shelly’s been married for almost 20 years and has a daughter who lives in Dallas. Her family motto is Faith, Family, Friends, and Fitness. She volunteers through her church, with greyhound adoptions, the Challenged Athletes Foundation, and the Military Outreach Ministry at Camp Pendleton.
Tami, Front Office Assistant
It’s often Tami’s friendly voice you’ll hear when you call our office. Warm and helpful, if she can’t answer your questions she’ll get you to the person who can. Tami’s a registered dental assistant with many years of experience. She supports our front-office team and is here to help you, too.
Tami has two teenage daughters who keep her busy being a “mom taxi” when she’s not at work. When she has time, you’ll find Tami enjoying long walks on the beach.
Debi, Post-Operative Assistant
Debi enjoys making patients smile and helping them relax during their visits. She talks with patients about their treatment, and helps them understand what’s happening in their mouth and how we’ll fix their issues. She cares for patients following surgery and provides post-op instructions.
Debi is blessed to have a married son and four grandchildren. She’s active in her church and an avid reader, too.
Denise’s reassuring manner and warm smile help put anxious patients at ease. She loves talking with patients, learning about their lives, and sharing stories of her own. Helping people she cares about develop great oral health and wonderful smiles makes Denise love her work. She assists the doctor during surgical procedures while supporting the patient.
Denise has been married for more than 20 years. She has a son and two dogs, and loves riding motorcycles.
Kiran, Surgical Assistant
Kiran likes helping patients feel comfortable at our office. Understanding that some people are nervous, she talks with them about their procedure, and explains what will happen and what to expect. She sets up and breaks down the operatories, sterilizes instruments, and assists the doctor during surgeries.
Kiran’s been married for 35 years. She likes to paint, sew, knit, crochet, make jewelry, and learn languages. She volunteers in assisted-living facilities, mentors in schools, and loves time with family and friends.
Sylvia, Clinical Supervisor and Registered Dental Assistant
Sylvia loves teaching patients about their oral health and how they can improve it through proper home care. She’s in charge of our back office and clinical area. It’s her job to make the doctors’ and our team members’ job as seamless as possible. This enables our team to focus on each patient’s comfort.
Sylvia’s been married for almost 40 years and has three children as well as two grandsons. She loves time with her family and, when not with them, making jewelry. She also enjoys photography.
Trish, Surgical Assistant
Trish enjoys supporting and encouraging patients during their visits. She loves the connections she builds with patients and is glad to help them achieve their dental health and smile goals. Trish prepares instruments and rooms for procedures, takes X-rays, and assists the doctors, her team members, and patients.
Trish has four grown children and enjoys time with her four grandchildren. She attends church and women’s Bible study in Rancho Bernardo. Her free time is spent walking and reading, and she loves to play Scrabble.
Vickie, Registered Dental Assistant and Supply Purchaser
Vickie enjoys assisting our patients and making sure they have positive visits. She loves to express her creativity and is resourceful in buying supplies for the practice, including office and dental supplies. She is in charge of organizing our implant patients. She also puts together the after-care boxes that go home with our surgical patients, which ensures a successful recuperation.
Vickie is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loves crafts, shopping, volunteer work, and playing with her grandsons.
Dental Hygiene Staff
Jennifer, Registered Dental Hygienist
Jennifer loves hearing each patient’s personal stories. She’s happy to spend her days helping people develop healthy smiles and great oral health. While she cleans a patient’s teeth, she talks with patients about their dental health. She teaches them the best way to keep their mouth and smile healthy, clean, and looking great.
Jennifer has two daughters and one grandson. She enjoys crafting, hiking, and gardening. She’s involved with the San Diego Cactus and Succulent Society and volunteers her gardening skills at the San Diego Safari Park.
Karri, Registered Dental Hygienist and Business Manager
Karri loves the meaningful relationships she builds with her patients. She strives to promote personal health in addition to the highest level of dental health. She wants her patients to be healthy and happy. Apart from providing thorough, gentle dental cleanings, Karri educates her patients about home care. She’s also our practice business manager.
Karri enjoys an active lifestyle that includes yoga, running, skiing and hiking, and gardening. She plays, and sometimes even enjoys, golf.
Lindsay, Registered Dental Hygienist
Lindsay enjoys meeting people and forming relationships with them. She’s glad to help them improve their oral and overall health, along with their smiles. Lindsay provides preventive care, cleans teeth, and examines patients for oral diseases. She focuses on patient education, and encourages each person to take control of their dental health. When she sees a clean and healthy smile at a recall visit, she’s thrilled.
In her free time, Lindsay enjoys hiking with her dogs, spending time with her husband and friends, and visiting family in Iowa.
Patricia, Registered Dental Hygienist
Patricia excels at connecting with patients. She’s filled with compassion and empathy and wants to help them improve their oral health. She examines each patient for signs of oral disease, provides thorough and painless cleanings, and teaches her patients. By showing a person how to improve home care and make healthy decisions, she helps everyone take control of their smile.
Patricia’s been married for nearly a quarter century. She has two awesome sons: one in college and one in high school. The family also has a dog, a Golden Doodle.
